Standards for Solar Submersible Pumps

Feb 05, 2026 Leave a message

As a type of submersible pump powered by solar energy, the standards for solar submersible pumps need to be considered from two levels: general product standards and solar-specific standards.

The core component of a solar submersible pump is the pump itself; therefore, it must comply with the national mandatory energy efficiency standards for submersible pumps. From January 1, 2024, all small submersible pumps (including the pump body used in solar submersible pumps) must meet the following requirements:

"Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Submersible Pumps" (GB 32030-2022): This is currently the most fundamental mandatory national standard, replacing the old version. It specifies the energy efficiency grades (1-3, with grade 3 being the minimum requirement for market access), efficiency benchmark values, and test methods for small submersible pumps (rated power ≤ 22kW). This standard applies to the main application scenarios of solar submersible pumps, such as agricultural irrigation and building water supply and drainage.
