Main Types Of Household Solar Water Pumps

The most common type of household solar water pump is the solar submersible pump, which is mainly divided into two categories: brushed and brushless.

Brushed solar submersible pumps: Use traditional carbon brushes for current commutation. The advantage is lower cost, but the disadvantages are mechanical wear of the carbon brushes, resulting in a relatively limited lifespan, and potentially increased operating noise with wear.

Brushless solar submersible pumps: Use electronic components for commutation, eliminating physical wear points. They can be further divided into direct-drive motor type and magnetically driven isolated type.

Direct-drive motor type: The motor shaft is directly connected to the impeller, resulting in a simple structure and high efficiency.

Magnetically driven isolated type: Uses magnetic coupling transmission, completely physically isolating the stator (including the circuit board) from the rotor, and achieving full waterproofing through epoxy resin potting. This type of pump has significant advantages such as long lifespan, low noise (below 35 decibels), high temperature resistance, and adaptability to hot water circulation.

Brushless pumps generally outperform brushed pumps in reliability, lifespan, and environmental adaptability.
